A burst of colorful collet set gemstones highlight a design that was aptly dubbed "sputnik" after the Russian satellite. The earrings have a semi-sphere shape with natural sapphire, tourmaline, quartz, peridot, garnet and amethyst stones jutting outward. The bright sparkle and clarity is complimented with the high golden sheen and texture of their setting. There is a tiny chip on one stone; the others are crisp and fresh looking. The earrings are not signed but are likely to be made by the H. Stern company during the late 1950's - 60's.
