According to tradition the leaves of a three-leaf clover represent faith, hope and love. The rare fourth leaf is for luck. This piece of plique-à-jour is exemplary for it’s Art Nouveau artistry and craftsmanship. Gossamer leaves gently blend from color to color and are illuminated with sparkling blue stones. There are no chips to the enameling and the pendant has a fresh appearance. The chain is original to the pendant while the clasp is a later replacement. By luck and care, the stained glass effect is still beautiful and ready to be worn and enjoyed.
